What is a free exit?

If your train is cancelled, you can tag off at the same station within 40 minutes from the time you first tagged on to receive a free exit. Tag on and off the train replacement bus as usual. If more than 40 minutes has passed since you originally tagged on, please contact Snapper via this webform.

If you change your mind about boarding the train after tagging on at the station and you want to cancel your tag on, wait 10 seconds after tagging on and hold your card against the card reader at the same station. You will not be charged a fare. You have up to 40 minutes from first tagging on to cancel your trip and not be charged a penalty fare.
