How does my travel pass activate/expire?

While you can purchase and load a travel pass to your Snapper card at any time, your pass will only be activated the next time you complete a journey (tag on AND off) on a service that’s valid for that pass.

Your pass is valid for unlimited travel in the zone(s) and for the service(s) covered by the pass. It will be available to use from the time it’s activated, through to the very end of its final day of use, including after midnight services.

You can check the expiry date of your pass or how many days are remaining in these ways:

• Via the Snapper app.
• Via a Snapper kiosk.
• Via a retailer by getting a balance report.
• Via the transaction history page on our site (https://snapperaccount.snapper.co.nz/transaction-history)
