April 1 Fare Update

As you may be aware, over the weekend (on April 1st) there was an update to all Metlink fares. Included in this update was an increase to the off-peak fare discount.

Due to a collection of card readers not receiving the fare update data in time, there are some customers who will have been charged at the old fares. For those travelling off-peak, this will mean they were overcharged. (If you travelled during peak times, you will have received a lesser fare and you don’t need to do anything).

We will be processing refunds for all those overcharged, and this will be completed by the end of today. If this includes you – you don’t need to do anything. The overcharge amount will simply be credited back to your card and the credit will collect the next time you check your balance or top up.
