Removal of Snapper payments in taxis

From Tuesday 1st September 2020 you will no longer be able to use your Snapper card as a payment method for your taxi fare.   

Metlink and Snapper have made the decision to remove this payment service after seeing a significant drop in the use of Snapper cards as a payment option in taxi, while also recognising that taxi customers have other preferred methods of payment. We appreciate that a small number of Snapper cardholders will be affected by this change, however it is no longer sustainable to continue to provide this service.  

Total Mobility customers will still be able to use their Total Mobility Snapper card as proof of eligibility, however from 1 September they will be required to use a different payment method such as cash or a debit/credit card.  Please visit the Metlink website for more information on Total Mobility.
